Sri Lanka to build two French cable ships locally

The Embassy of France in Colombo has announced that two French cable ships will be built in Sri Lanka to strengthen global connectivity.

According to the Embassy, global cable ship operator Orange Marine has selected Colombo Dockyard PLC to construct the two new vessels.

The Embassy added that these ships will enhance and renew the fleet capacity of France’s leading company in the installation and maintenance of submarine cables.
