Sri Lanka has been ranked 33rd among the easiest countries in the world to obtain a visa, according to a report by the Brand Finance Institute.
This highlights the country’s accessibility and its growing appeal as a global travel destination.
Colombo, the capital city, holds a prominent position as a key destination in South Asia.
It was ranked 84th in the latest Brand Finance Global City Index, a slight drop from its 78th position last year.
However, Colombo has made significant progress in the health sector, advancing 10 places to secure the 74th spot globally.
This improvement is attributed to the city’s internationally recognized public and private hospital systems and its modern healthcare facilities.
The rankings further underscore Colombo’s growing reputation as a hub for both tourism and quality healthcare in the region.
