
Sri Lanka and the European Union (EU) are set to hold the 27th Session of the EU–Sri Lanka Joint Commission in Colombo on Thursday (12), bringing together senior officials from both sides.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the high-level meeting will focus on reviewing and strengthening cooperation in key areas including governance, human rights, trade, development collaboration, and other bilateral and regional priorities.
The session will be co-chaired by Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Ministry Secretary Aruni Ranaraja and Paola Pampaloni, Acting Managing Director for Asia and the Pacific at the European External Action Service (EEAS).
During the visit, the EU delegation is also expected to meet senior Sri Lankan leaders to discuss practical steps and future initiatives aimed at enhancing the long-standing partnership between Sri Lanka and the EU.
