
Sri Lanka Customs has achieved its highest-ever single-day tax revenue, collecting Rs. 2,470 million on 15th of October 2025, the Department announced yesterday.
According to the Director General of Customs, total revenue collected so far this year stands at Rs. 1,867 billion, putting the Department on course to surpass its annual target of Rs. 2,115 billion.
Officials noted that vehicle import taxes were the main source of income, making a significant contribution to the overall customs revenue.
