

Sri Lanka has been ranked the fourth fastest-improving country in the world by the Institute of International Finance.

According to the IIF’s 2026 Investor Relations and Debt Transparency Report, Sri Lanka has made significant progress in debt transparency and investor relations.
Vietnam topped the global ranking, followed by Belize in second place and Mozambique in third.
The report highlights Sri Lanka’s continued efforts to improve financial governance and strengthen investor confidence.
Sri Lanka has also moved up to fifth place globally in debt transparency.
The latest ranking reflects the country’s progress in improving financial transparency and rebuilding confidence among international investors.
