President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has announced plans to involve the Sri Lankan community abroad in strengthening the country’s export economy.
This announcement was made during the presentation of the first budget of the new Sri Lankan government.
The President emphasized that Sri Lankans overseas will support local exporters by leveraging foreign business networks, commercial opportunities, and partnerships.
Through this initiative, the Sri Lankan business community abroad will also have the chance to contribute directly to the nation’s export sector.
The budget announcement is currently underway.
