The Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team (SLCERT) has established a Cyber Security Operations Center to enhance digital security.
Senior Information Engineer Charuka Damunupola stated that the center aims to protect government institution websites from cyber threats.
In the first phase, SLCERT has identified 40 key government institutions that require immediate cybersecurity measures.
The initiative focuses on safeguarding these websites from malware, hacking attempts, and other cyber-attacks.
Advanced monitoring systems will be implemented to detect and respond to threats in real time.
This effort is part of a broader strategy to strengthen Sri Lanka’s digital infrastructure and ensure the security of government data.
