The Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau (SLFEB) has set a target of securing 340,000 foreign employment opportunities for Sri Lankans in 2025.
SLFEB Chairman Kosala Wickramasinghe shared this goal during an awareness program for newly licensed foreign employment agents held on the 23rd.
In 2024, the Bureau facilitated 311,000 foreign job placements and plans a 12% increase this year.
The Chairman stressed the need for a well-regulated process to ensure transparency and fairness in overseas employment.
He also warned of strict legal action against licensed agencies involved in fraudulent activities, emphasizing that no one would be exempt from accountability.
