A high-level delegation of top executives from major Indian companies is currently in Sri Lanka to explore investment opportunities across key sectors, following an invitation by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake during his recent visit to India.
Meeting with the delegation at the Presidential Secretariat on July 1, President Dissanayake outlined reforms introduced to stabilize Sri Lanka’s economy and attract foreign investment, particularly in energy, infrastructure, digital economy, tourism, agriculture, and entrepreneurship.
He assured the government’s full support through policy and infrastructure facilitation, while expressing gratitude for the Indian investors’ growing interest in strengthening bilateral economic ties.
The visit is expected to open doors for joint ventures and partnerships that would contribute to Sri Lanka’s recovery and long-term economic growth.
