Chief Inspector of Police Manoj Samarasekara has stated that individuals with tattoos on any part of their body will not be eligible for employment in the Sri Lankan police force.
He further explained that even those who have completed a postgraduate degree will not be considered for recruitment in the police or tri-forces if they have tattoos.
Emphasizing the importance of maintaining a professional appearance, he noted that the skin is the body’s largest organ, and having tattoos is viewed as a disqualifying factor in these services.
