
Police have confirmed that rescue operations at the Pahala Kadugannawa landslide site have officially concluded, with six bodies recovered from the rubble.
Officials said four people who were injured during the incident were rescued earlier and taken to hospital for treatment.
Rescue teams, including police, emergency personnel, and local volunteers, worked under difficult conditions to locate victims and stabilise the area.
Authorities noted that all individuals known to be affected by the landslide have now been accounted for.
An investigation into the cause of the landslide is currently underway.
