Singapore Airlines yesterday (6 January 2026) launched its new daytime flight services between Colombo and Singapore, further strengthening connectivity between Sri Lanka and the airline’s global network.
The new flights operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, complementing the existing schedule and offering passengers more flexibility and travel options. With this addition, Singapore Airlines now provides a total of ten weekly services between Colombo and Singapore.
The daytime flights are operated using Singapore Airlines’ modern Airbus A350 and Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner aircraft, ensuring passengers enjoy the airline’s renowned comfort, onboard service, and advanced in-flight entertainment.
These services are expected to provide smoother connections via Singapore Changi Airport to key international destinations, particularly major cities in Australia, China, and the United States, supporting both business and leisure travel.
Biren Poh, General Manager Sri Lanka for Singapore Airlines, said the launch of the daytime flights demonstrates the airline’s ongoing commitment to the Sri Lankan market, enhancing connectivity while meeting evolving travel demands and supporting tourism and trade between Sri Lanka and the wider world.
