A shooting incident has been reported targeting former Executive Director of the National Lotteries Board, Thusitha Halloluwa, in Narahenpita.
According to police, two unidentified gunmen carried out the attack, damaging Halloluwa’s car. He was reportedly inside the vehicle at the time, but no serious injuries were reported.
However, Attorney-at-Law Dinesh Dodangoda stated that both he and Halloluwa were physically assaulted during the incident and are currently receiving treatment in hospital.
The assailants, who arrived on a motorcycle, allegedly took a file containing important documents before fleeing the scene.
Following the incident, the Acting Inspector General of Police has handed over the investigation to the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD).
