WhatsApp has announced that starting 5th of May 2025, it will no longer support iPhones running versions older than iOS 15.1.
This move is part of the app’s regular updates to ensure better performance and security across devices.
To check if your iPhone will continue to support WhatsApp, go to Settings > General > About and look for the “iOS Version.”
If your device is running iOS 15.1 or higher, you’re safe.
However, older models like the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus will lose support and users are advised to upgrade to a newer phone.
