Three people are missing after a private sea plane crashed off the coast of Western Australia.
Four other passengers were rescued and taken to the hospital, with three of them seriously injured and airlifted for urgent treatment.
The pilot, who was from New South Wales, was operating the plane carrying six passengers at the time of the accident.
Initial investigations suggest the crash may have been caused by an industrial error.
A part of the plane remained visible above the water, enabling nearby boats and security forces to rescue four individuals from the wreckage.
Among the injured are two women in their 40s, who are reported to be in critical condition, while one other person sustained only minor injuries and is said to be in good health.
Western Australia Police continue their efforts to locate the three missing passengers.
