After months of intense competition, emotional moments, and outstanding culinary performances, Sanjula Manoj has emerged as the winner of the inaugural season of MasterChef Sri Lanka, becoming Sri Lanka’s first-ever MasterChef champion.

The highly anticipated grand finale featured the season’s top contestants in a final culinary showdown, where creativity, precision, and composure were tested to the limit. Manoj impressed the judges throughout the competition with his consistency, innovation, and ability to elevate Sri Lankan flavours into refined and memorable dishes.
Produced to international MasterChef standards, the Sri Lankan edition introduced audiences to a world-class culinary competition while celebrating the nation’s rich food culture under the theme “Sri Lanka on a Plate.” Contestants from across the country shared stories inspired by heritage, family traditions, and a passion for cooking.
As the inaugural winner, Manoj now joins the global MasterChef family, which is broadcast in more than 70 countries worldwide. His victory marks a significant milestone not only in his personal journey but also for Sri Lanka’s culinary and entertainment industry.
The first season of MasterChef Sri Lanka was produced by Reality TV Productions and featured judges Peter Kuruvita, Savindri Perera, Kapila Jayasinghe, and Rohan Fernandopulle. The programme was aired on Independent Television Network.
With the successful conclusion of its debut season, preparations are already underway for Season 2, as the search begins once again for Sri Lanka’s finest home cooks.
