The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) has stated that the resignation of Power and Energy Minister Kumara Jayakody and the Ministry Secretary is merely an “eye wash” aimed at erasing the coal purchase scam from public attention.
In an official statement issued today, the party asserted that the entire Cabinet bears responsibility for the alleged scam.
The SJB further said it intends to pursue legal action against all those found responsible, signalling a continued political and legal challenge over the controversy.
