It has been decided to give another salary increase to school teachers in New South Wales.

The pay deal is said to include a 0.5 per cent annual superannuation increase and a $1,000 cost-of-living allowance if inflation rises above 4.5 per cent.

In addition to this salary, teachers will also be given flexible leave, job transfers and part-time work for teachers with children.

With last year’s salary increase, teachers’ starting salaries increased by $10,000, which is an increase of 8 to 12 percent.

Due to the departure of teachers to discuss the salary issue, there was a disruption in academic activities in public schools across the state for about two hours yesterday morning.

Nearly 60,000 teachers had participated in the strike meeting in schools across the state from 8.30 am to 10 am.

In the meeting they joined, they have also voted for an agreement to agree to a 9 percent salary increase in the next three years.
