Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa has pledged that the issues faced by School Teacher Development Officers would be resolved promptly if the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) comes to power.
Premadasa made the remarks during a visit to meet Teacher Development Officers who were staging a hunger strike outside the Presidential Secretariat.
He stated that it is the Government’s responsibility to honour its promises, adding that breaking pledges after assuming office is unjustifiable. He also condemned what he called the “politics of deception” and urged that it be brought to an end.
