
India’s External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar held discussions with Sri Lanka’s Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath in New Delhi today, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations and reviewing the current regional situation.
Following the meeting, Jaishankar stated that India’s Vision MAHASAGAR initiative and its Neighbourhood First policy would continue to guide cooperation between India and Sri Lanka.
In a message issued after the talks, Jaishankar described the meeting as a warm and productive discussion aimed at further strengthening ties between the two countries while also addressing recent regional developments.
