
Sri Lanka Customs has intercepted a parcel containing cocaine and kush valued at Rs. 60 million, smuggled into the country via international courier services.
Customs Spokesperson and Additional Director General Seevali Arukgoda stated that the narcotics were shipped from the United States, Canada, and Malaysia using express courier channels.
During an inspection by the Customs Narcotics Control Unit, a suspicious batch of parcels was found to contain 1.101 kilograms of cocaine and 1.666 kilograms of kush concealed inside.
Authorities have yet to identify the individuals or groups behind the shipment, and investigations are currently underway.
