Plans to cut staff at the Royal Melbourne Children’s Hospital have been cancelled once again.
The proposed cuts were due to a funding shortfall affecting the hospital’s cancer centre.
The job cuts would have included a nurse consultant, a clinical neuropsychologist, two mental health doctors, and three art therapists.
A total of 13 staff members were expected to be laid off under the plan.
Shadow Health Minister Georg Rosier criticized the proposed cuts, calling them unacceptable.
