Australian breakdancer Rachael Gunn has explained her decision to cancel a Raygun-themed musical in Sydney last week.
The Olympian said his team first heard about the product, created by comedian and musician Steph Broadbridge, through media coverage last Friday.
"We were completely blindsided by this and unfortunately the attack was quick," she said in a video posted to social media.
She said that people assumed it was developed, that we condoned it, and it damaged many relationships, both personal and professional.
This is why my management team and legal team had to act quickly to shut down the musical.
It's really unfortunate that the show had to be canceled so close to the launch, the artist has put a lot of work into it and I know it's really bad, but if we had known about it sooner, something could have changed.
