Astronomer Professor Chandana Jayaratne has stated that five out of the seven visible planets can be observed with the naked eye today (28th).
This rare opportunity to see all seven planets has been available since the 25th.
To view the remaining two planets, a small telescope is needed.
Professor Jayaratne mentioned that five planets can be observed with the naked eye between 6:30 pm and 7:10 pm today.
He also noted that a similar opportunity to view all seven planets in this way will not occur again until the year 2040.
