Rain to soak much of Australia over Easter weekend

Weather patterns will vary by region, with some areas beginning the weekend under sunny skies and others facing clouds and possible storms. From Good Friday to Easter Monday, Australians can expect a mix of sunshine, rainfall, and warmth depending on their location.

New South Wales (Sydney):
Sydney is expected to enjoy a warm and partly cloudy Good Friday with a high of 25°C. Showers are likely on Saturday afternoon, and up to 6mm of rain is forecast for Sunday. Clear skies and sunshine are expected to return on Monday.

Australian Capital Territory (Canberra):
Canberra will experience warm and clear weather, with temperatures reaching 26°C on both Friday and Saturday. Monday is also expected to be sunny and dry.

Queensland (Brisbane):
Brisbane will see sunny and warm conditions on Friday and Saturday, with highs of 26°C. Showers are possible on Sunday and Monday, though warm weather will continue.

Victoria (Melbourne):
Melbourne will start the weekend with thunderstorms and a top of 22°C on Friday. Light rain is expected to continue into Saturday. However, the weather is forecast to clear by Easter Sunday and Monday, with highs of 18°C.

South Australia (Adelaide):
Adelaide will face thunderstorms and a high of 22°C on Friday. Rain is expected to ease by Saturday afternoon, with sunny and cooler weather forecast for Sunday and Monday.

Tasmania (Hobart):
Hobart is expected to have stormy weather on Friday and Saturday. Rain will clear by Sunday, but cloudy and cool conditions will persist into Monday.

Western Australia (Perth):
Perth will begin the long weekend with sunshine and 26°C on Friday. Cloud cover will increase on Saturday, with a chance of thunderstorms developing on Sunday.
