A Qantas flight from Singapore, scheduled to land in Melbourne this morning, was diverted to Adelaide due to a technical issue.
Flight QF36 departed Singapore at 7:30 p.m. yesterday and landed in Adelaide at 5 a.m. (ACDT) today. The airline confirmed the diversion was caused by a technical problem, and the aircraft touched down safely without an emergency or priority landing.
All passengers have been rebooked on alternative flights to Melbourne.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused, especially at this time of year. Safety is our top priority, and we thank passengers for their patience and understanding,” the airline said in a statement.
The aircraft will undergo inspection by engineers.
