The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, has extended his condolences to President Anura Kumara Dissanayake following the heavy loss of life and widespread destruction caused by the recent floods and landslides in Sri Lanka.
In his message, President Putin expressed profound sorrow over the tragedy and assured that Russia stands ready to assist Sri Lanka during this challenging period.
He stated, “Your Excellency, please accept my sincere condolences over the numerous human casualties and the extensive destruction caused by the floods and landslides that have struck your country. Kindly convey my sympathy and support to the families and loved ones of those who perished, as well as my wishes for a speedy recovery to all those injured.”
