Minister of Buddha Sasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs, Dr. H. Sunil Senewiratne, visited veteran singer Ishak Beg at his residence in Kolonnawa on 29th of June to inquire about his health.
During the visit, the minister presented a cheque for Rs. 1 million from the President’s Fund to assist with Mr. Beg’s medical treatment.
The singer requires Rs. 10 million for his treatment, and a significant portion has already been raised through contributions from individuals and well-wishers.
The gesture reflects the deep public support and admiration for the beloved artist.
