

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is scheduled to attend the United Nations General Assembly session to be held in New York on September 24.

The President will depart for the US on September 23 to attend the United Nations General Assembly session in New York, which begins on September 24. During his stay, he is also expected to meet members of the Sri Lankan community living in the United States.
Following his engagements in the US, the president will travel to Japan for an official visit. While in Japan, he is scheduled to attend the Sri Lanka Day celebrations, which showcase the country’s culture and heritage to the Japanese public.
These visits are part of the president’s diplomatic engagements aimed at strengthening Sri Lanka’s international relations and promoting cultural ties abroad.
