
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake expressed his gratitude to India for its prompt assistance in supplying 38,000 metric tonnes of fuel to Sri Lanka.
In a post on X, the President said he had recently spoken with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the fuel supply disruptions faced by Sri Lanka due to the ongoing Middle East conflict.
He noted that the fuel shipment arrived in Colombo yesterday and thanked India for its swift response.
The President also extended his appreciation to S. Jaishankar for his close coordination in facilitating the support.
