President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is set to begin an official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) today, from 10th to 13th February, 2025, at the invitation of UAE President Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
During the visit, President Dissanayake will participate in the ‘World Government Summit 2025’ in Dubai, where he is scheduled to address the summit and engage in bilateral talks with President Al Nahyan on various mutual interests.
He will also meet UAE Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and hold discussions with Heads of State and Government from several other nations attending the event.
Additionally, President Dissanayake plans to meet with CEOs from leading global companies in sectors like IT, AI, Energy, Tourism, Finance, and Media to attract investment to Sri Lanka.
The visit aims to strengthen the bilateral ties between Sri Lanka and the UAE.
