
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has arrived in the United States to take part in the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), the President’s Media Division (PMD) announced.
He landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York last night (23rd) at approximately 8.50 a.m. local time.
On arrival, President Dissanayake was welcomed by Sri Lanka’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, former Chief Justice and President’s Counsel Jayantha Chandrasiri Jayasuriya.
Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism Minister Vijitha Herath is also accompanying the President on this official visit.
