
Anura Kumara Dissanayake is scheduled to attend the India–AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi from 16 to 20 February, where global leaders and experts will discuss the future of Artificial Intelligence. According to a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs, India, the event is being hosted by the Government of India and will focus on advancing international cooperation in AI development.
President Dissanayake will participate at the invitation of Narendra Modi, alongside leaders from more than 20 countries including France, Brazil, Spain, Netherlands, Switzerland, Mauritius and the United Arab Emirates. Senior representatives from the United Nations and ministerial delegations from over 45 nations are also expected to take part.
The summit will centre on three themes — People, Planet and Progress — and is expected to highlight responsible AI innovation, global governance frameworks, and the role of emerging technologies in driving sustainable development worldwide.
