Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Sujith Sanjaya Perera said that politicians from different parties often come together on various occasions, even when they belong to opposing political camps.
He explained that there is nothing unusual about Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa attending the launch of a book written by former Minister Udaya Gammanpila, noting that such gatherings are common.
According to him, politicians frequently meet at social events such as weddings and funerals, regardless of their political differences. He also pointed out that MP Harsha de Silva had participated in the opening of the Suwa Sariya office.
Meanwhile, when questioned by the media, MP S. M. Marikkar stated that he was not prepared to respond to questions regarding the Opposition Leader.
