The values and conduct of the Australian people are the foundation of an optimistic history, present, and future, says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
The Prime Minister expressed this sentiment in a message to the public on the occasion of Australia Day.
He emphasized that Australia Day is an opportunity to celebrate all we have built together as a nation.
The Prime Minister highlighted that new citizens must pledge their commitment to the country, just as those who have loved, cared for, and dedicated themselves to Australia for over sixty thousand years have done.
By doing so, he believes we can proudly call Australia the greatest country on earth.
The Prime Minister further stated that from officers who serve and protect us in uniform to farmers who work tirelessly for the nation, everyone must have the courage to contribute to building the country.
In his message, he wished that those who work hard and make sacrifices, even during challenging times, find the strength and determination they need to persevere.
