
Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya will depart for China tonight (October 11) to attend the Global Leaders’ Meeting on Women 2025, following an invitation from the Government of the People’s Republic of China, the Prime Minister’s Office announced.
The summit, themed “One Shared Future: New & Accelerated Process for Women’s All-round Development,” will be held in Beijing and jointly organized by the Chinese Government and UN Women.
During her visit, Prime Minister Amarasuriya is scheduled to deliver a keynote address and participate in several high-level bilateral meetings, including discussions with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Chinese Premier Li Qiang.
