A pilot sustained serious injuries after a plane crash during an air demonstration at the Avalon International Airshow in Victoria.
The small aircraft lost control and crashed into the tarmac just after 5 p.m., shocking spectators. Footage from the scene shows the aircraft slamming into the ground during an aerobatics performance.
According to Ambulance Victoria, the pilot suffered severe upper and lower body injuries, and an air ambulance was dispatched for emergency assistance. Police confirmed that the pilot was the sole occupant of the aircraft at the time of the crash.
A police spokesperson reassured that the incident occurred at a safe distance from spectators, and no other injuries have been reported.
