
A 65-year-old passenger has been arrested for allegedly harassing fellow passengers and attempting to sexually assault female air hostesses on a flight from India to Sri Lanka.
The suspect, a dual citizen of Sri Lanka and Sweden, had traveled from Mumbai and landed at Katunayake Airport early this morning.
Upon arrival, he was arrested by the police after being found highly intoxicated.
He is accused of causing inconvenience to passengers and attempting to assault two female air hostesses during the flight.
Flight security officers had restrained him, and the pilot reported the incident, leading to his arrest at the airport.
A medical examination confirmed he was intoxicated. He is scheduled to be produced in court today.
