
The Melbourne-based Sri Lankan community has announced its support for the Women’s Ashes Test at the MCG, starting on 30th of January.
The event promises a vibrant atmosphere, with a diverse range of supporters rallying behind both teams.
Cricket Australia has encouraged participation from various communities, with notable figures such as former Sri Lankan women’s captain Shashikala Siriwardene, Pakistan cricketer Usman Qadir, and Renegades player Ruwantha Kellopatha expected to attend alongside passionate fan groups.
Day 1 will feature the Sri Lankan Papare Band, Pakistan Hulk, the English Barmy Army, and a Pakistani group led by Tariq Naveed, who previously organized a massive turnout at the Brisbane T20I.
The largest crowd is anticipated on Day 3, with over 1,000 fans led by the Ryan and Tony Podcast group bringing energy and enthusiasm to the MCG.
