Sri Lanka has recorded 623,651 tourist arrivals during the first three months of 2026, according to the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority.
The authority said that 66,996 tourists visited the country between March 1 and March 11.
During this period, India remained the leading source market, contributing 16,032 visitors. Other major markets included Russia, the United Kingdom, Germany and China.
For the overall period from January 1 to March 11, India ranked first among the top source markets with 115,772 tourist arrivals. The United Kingdom, Russia and China followed as other key contributors to Sri Lanka’s tourism sector during the same period.
