Over 48,000 premises checked during national mosquito control week

The Ministry of Health announced that inspections are continuing across the country today ( 2nd of July ), marking the third day of National Mosquito Control Week.

On 1st of July alone, 22,294 premises were inspected, with 4,965 identified as potential mosquito breeding sites. Active mosquito larvae were found in 657 locations. As a result, 553 red notices were issued, and legal action was initiated against 153 individuals.

In total, over the past two days, 48,354 premises have been inspected islandwide. Authorities identified 10,591 potential breeding grounds and discovered mosquito larvae in 1,611 locations. So far, 1,193 red notices have been issued, and 256 legal cases filed.
