Tourist arrivals to Sri Lanka have reached 46,868 during the first nine days of October, according to the latest data from the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).
Of this total, 14,221 visitors were from India, accounting for 30.3% of arrivals. Meanwhile, 3,171 tourists arrived from the United Kingdom, 2,652 from Germany, 4,416 from China, and 2,158 from Bangladesh.
From 1st of January to October 9, 2025, Sri Lanka has welcomed a total of 1,772,362 tourists.
The SLTDA further reported that during this period, 389,513 visitors came from India, 165,064 from the United Kingdom, and 124,113 from Russia.
