Sri Lanka Police announced that a total of 31,209 cases have been filed under a special operation targeting small-, medium-, and large-scale drug trafficking activities across the country.
The majority of cases were related to ICE (methamphetamine) trafficking, with 10,912 cases filed. Authorities seized 102 kilograms, 665 grams, and 250 milligrams of ICE during these operations.
In addition, 9,300 cases were filed in connection with heroin trafficking, with a total of 299 kilograms, 925 grams, and 440 milligrams of heroin seized. Police also reported filing 9,476 cases related to cannabis trafficking.
