

A total of 1,651 families, comprising nearly 5,500 individuals, have been affected by the prevailing adverse weather conditions across the country, according to the Disaster Management Centre (DMC).

The DMC stated that 234 houses had sustained partial damage due to heavy rains and strong winds, while six houses were completely destroyed.
Authorities also confirmed that two deaths have been reported so far as a result of the severe weather conditions.
Meanwhile, emergency response teams have been deployed to the affected areas, and relief operations are currently underway to assist displaced families and provide essential support.
