Sri Lanka has recorded more than 1.4 million tourist arrivals so far in 2025, according to the latest data from the tourism authorities.
The industry continues to show strong growth, with July alone generating USD 318.5 million in revenue from tourism.
The steady increase in arrivals reflects the country’s improved international image, expanded promotional campaigns, and enhanced travel infrastructure.
Tourism remains one of Sri Lanka’s key foreign exchange earners, contributing significantly to economic recovery efforts.
Industry experts anticipate that if the current trend continues, Sri Lanka could surpass its annual tourism targets, further boosting the hospitality and service sectors.
