At least one person was killed and seven others injured during an “incident” at Zayed International Airport, officials said on Sunday, following Iranian strikes reportedly targeting the UAE and other Gulf states.
Abu Dhabi Airports, which manages the facility, confirmed in a statement posted on X that the incident resulted in the death of an Asian national and injuries to seven others.
Authorities did not immediately provide further details regarding the nature of the incident, while investigations are expected to continue.
