Nuwara Eliya ranked 2nd among Asia’s must-visit hill stations

Nuwara Eliya has secured the second spot on Agoda’s list of must-visit hill stations in Asia, further strengthening its reputation as one of the region’s top travel destinations.

Often referred to as “Little England,” the scenic Sri Lankan hill town was praised for its lush tea plantations, cool climate and charming colonial-era architecture. Agoda highlighted that Nuwara Eliya continues to attract travellers seeking peaceful surroundings, scenic landscapes and opportunities to explore tea estates and historic landmarks.

The ranking showcases some of Asia’s most picturesque hill stations celebrated for their natural beauty and cultural appeal. India’s Shimla claimed the top position, while other destinations featured on the list include Cameron Highlands, Sapa, Bandung, Thimphu, Munnar and Dalat.
