No Sri Lankans affected by South Korea wildfires

The Sri Lankan Embassy in South Korea has confirmed that no Sri Lankans have been affected by the devastating forest fires in the country’s southeastern regions.

The embassy assured that it is closely monitoring the situation of Sri Lankans residing in these areas to ensure their safety.

South Korea is home to approximately 35,000 Sri Lankan workers, and the embassy remains vigilant in providing necessary assistance.

Meanwhile, the fires have claimed the lives of four people, prompting continuous firefighting operations to bring the situation under control.
