The report containing the views of Parliamentary Secretaries on the no-confidence motion against Deputy Minister of Defence, Retired Major General Aruna Jayasekara, has been handed over to Speaker Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne.
The report was prepared and signed by Secretary General of Parliament Kushani Rohanadeera, Deputy Secretary General Chaminda Kularatne, and Assistant Secretary General Hansa Abeyratne.
Speaker Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne is expected to announce his decision on the report in Parliament next Tuesday.
The no-confidence motion was recently submitted to the Speaker by a group from the opposition.
