Niagara Falls partially freezes in winter chill

Stunning images of the world-famous Niagara Falls, covered in snow and ice, have been released to the media.

Despite the icy conditions, the water in the falls has not completely frozen, and it continues to flow beneath the ice sheet.

Niagara Falls, which lies on the border between Canada and the United States, is formed by a combination of three waterfalls.

While extremely hot weather is expected in some parts of North America in the coming days, tourists believe that heavy snowfall may still occur in the Niagara Falls area.

Although temperatures remain below freezing, reports indicate that Niagara Falls has not completely frozen over since 1848.

Due to dense fog and strong winds at the base of the falls, swimming across the massive body of water flowing from Niagara Falls is considered impossible.

The best time to visit Niagara Falls is from June to August, when the weather is most favorable for sightseeing.
